Qed is a waitlist software application that provides you the ability to get on software-based waitlists, also known as queues, without having to be physically present on a line. This provides you the convenience and safety of waiting comfortably in your home, office, car, or wherever you might be, without having to endure standing on a line, possibly in harsh weather conditions. In order to provide this service, this application, furthermore referred to as 'app', requires and uses your location to, as accurately as possible, determine your distance from a particular business or venue and to determine your position on a software-based waitlist, furthermore known as 'waitlist', for that business or venue.
Qed app requires access to, and use of, your location as an essential part of the waitlist service the app offers. The details pertaining to the app and your location data is as follows:
Qed app accesses your location data only when necessary for executing the primary functions of the service the app offers, and at no other times. The app starts accessing your location data on a continuous basis when you choose to get on one or more waitlists and stops accessing your location data when you are not on any waitlists, either by your own choice or as a function of the app. The app also accesses your location data on a one-off, non-continuous, instance when you perform a search for a business location or when signing in or signing up. When you are on one or more waitlists, the app accesses your location data in the foreground, meaning when the app is in view and when the app is not in view, such as when another app is in view or the phone screen is shut off or locked.
Qed app collects your location data only when you are on one or more waitlists, and at no other times. When you are on one or more waitlists, the app collects your single most current location data, periodically, and stores it in the service's database for use in the primary function of the app, which is determining your position on one or more waitlists.
Qed uses your location data to determinue your position on software-based waitlists, which you, the user, have chosen to be on, and only for this purpose.
The Qed waitlist service does not share with or sell to any other party your location data.
You, as the user of this app, are requested to provide your telephone number and device id during the sign up process. The sole purpose for that data is to help ensure and maintain the integrity and availability of the service the app provides by confirming that the user signing up is a person, reducing the likelihood of disruption of this service by 'bots' or other computer programs or individuals with malicious intent.
During the sign up process, Qed app requests that you provide your cellphone number and cellphone service provider and does not access or obtain that information from your device. It requests you, the user, to input that information purposefully. In addition, Qed app accesses your device id at sign up. If you choose to not provide your cellphone number and/or cellphone service provider, or your cellphone service provider is not on the list of cellphone service providers, then your are asked to give consent to the app to access and obtain solely your device ID to sign up, as an alternative to providing your cellphone number and/or cellphone service provider. Qed app does not access or obtain your device ID without your consent.
Qed app collects your cellphone number and your device ID, or only your device id, during the sign up process, and stores that information in the service's database for an undetermined or indefinite amount of time.
Qed uses your cellphone number and device ID, or only your device ID, to aid in ensuring that you, the user, are not a 'bot' or computer program designed to slow down or harm the service.
The Qed waitlist service does not share with or sell to any other party your cellphone number and device ID data.
